MAXPAH INC. — Free Homeowner Pilot
Effective date: 1 September 2026 Privacy Officer: Alan Noori, Founder Privacy contact: info@maxpah.com Website: maxpah.com

MAXPAH INC. ("MAXPAH", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal information when you use maxpah.com, participate in the MAXPAH free homeowner pilot, create or refine a renovation project, generate a project report, provide feedback, or ask to be connected with a contractor.

1. Scope and accountability

MAXPAH is responsible for personal information under its control. MAXPAH has designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for the organization's compliance with this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy law, and who is responsible for responding to privacy questions, access or correction requests, and complaints.

Privacy Officer: Alan Noori, Founder, MAXPAH INC.

Mail: MAXPAH INC., 16 Longfellow Court, Whitby, Ontario L1N 6V7, Canada

2. Information we may collect

3. Why we collect and use information

4. Free pilot and product-improvement use

MAXPAH is currently intended to be offered to pilot participants without charge. Participation in a free pilot does not mean that personal information may be used for unlimited purposes. We use pilot information only for identified, appropriate purposes, including operating the service, evaluating performance, improving the estimator and reports, and understanding how users interact with the product.

User opinions about whether a planning budget feels high or low may be used as a diagnostic signal. MAXPAH should not automatically change pricing solely because users perceive a result as expensive or inexpensive.

5. Consent and choices

Where consent is required, MAXPAH seeks consent in a form appropriate to the information and the purpose. We aim to explain, at or before collection, what information is being collected, why it is needed, and any material sharing with third parties.

6. Contractor matching and disclosure

MAXPAH does not need to disclose your contact information to contractors merely because you use the estimator. If you affirmatively request contractor matching or contractor contact, MAXPAH may share the project and contact information reasonably necessary to facilitate that request.

7. Service providers and other disclosures

MAXPAH uses a small number of service providers to host and operate the service. These providers process personal information on MAXPAH's behalf, for the purpose of providing their services to MAXPAH, and are subject to their contractual arrangements with us. As of the effective date, they are:

MAXPAH does not use any advertising network, data broker, analytics provider or tracking service.

We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to investigate security or fraud concerns, or in connection with a corporate transaction subject to applicable legal requirements.

MAXPAH does not sell personal information, and does not disclose it to any third party for that third party's own commercial purposes.

8. Cookies, analytics and similar technologies

MAXPAH does not use cookies. We do not use analytics services, tag managers, advertising pixels, session-recording tools or any similar tracking technology, and we do not store any information in your browser. Because none of these technologies are used, there is nothing for you to opt out of and no consent banner is required.

Our hosting provider records standard web-server request logs, as described in Section 7.

If MAXPAH introduces any analytics or similar technology in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to identify it and describe the choices available to you before it is deployed.

9. Retention and deletion

MAXPAH retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purposes, legal requirements, security, dispute handling and legitimate business records. Information that is no longer required is securely deleted or anonymized. Our retention periods are:

How deletion works. Information you submit is held in two places: the systems of our form provider and MAXPAH's own email account. When information reaches the end of its retention period, or when we accept a deletion request, we delete it from both, including from deleted-items folders, together with any working copy or export made from it. We confirm to you in writing once a deletion request has been completed.

Two limits apply, and we would rather state them plainly: MAXPAH cannot recall information you have already sent directly to a contractor, and cannot delete a copy of your project report that you saved or printed on your own device.

10. Safeguards

MAXPAH uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system can guarantee absolute security, but safeguards are designed to protect against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

We think it is fairer to tell you what we do not have: MAXPAH is a small organization and does not operate automated security monitoring or intrusion detection.

11. Accuracy, access and correction

You may contact MAXPAH to ask about personal information we hold about you, request access where applicable, or request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. Some exceptions may apply under law. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request.

Requests: info@maxpah.com

12. Privacy questions and complaints

Questions or complaints about MAXPAH's handling of personal information may be sent to info@maxpah.com. MAXPAH will review privacy concerns and take appropriate steps to investigate and address substantiated issues.

13. Age restriction

The MAXPAH homeowner service is intended only for individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By using MAXPAH, you confirm that you are at least 18. The service is not directed at children, and we ask that anyone under 18 not submit information to us.

MAXPAH does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. If you believe a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer at info@maxpah.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

14. International or cross-border processing

MAXPAH INC. is a Canadian company based in Whitby, Ontario. However, we want to be direct with you: the personal information you provide to MAXPAH is stored and processed in the United States, not in Canada.

While your information is in another country, it is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessible to that country's courts, law enforcement and national-security authorities under their laws. We use these providers because they are appropriate for a service of this size, and they are contractually engaged to process information on MAXPAH's behalf.

If you would prefer not to have your information stored outside Canada, please do not submit it, and contact our Privacy Officer with any questions.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as MAXPAH develops. We will post the current version with an effective date and provide additional notice where a material change requires it. If a new use or disclosure requires fresh consent, MAXPAH will seek it as required.

16. Contact

Questions, access and correction requests, deletion requests and privacy complaints may be directed to our Privacy Officer:

Reference basis

This draft was structured around the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada's PIPEDA fair-information principles and guidance on meaningful consent, limiting use, disclosure and retention, safeguards, openness and individual access. Counsel should confirm the law applicable to MAXPAH's actual operations and launch jurisdictions.
